Job Summary:

This position manages a team of Curriculum Managers who work with campus support center and school staff to manage all healthcare programs in the US and Canada. This position is responsible for the oversight of all healthcare programs rollout and servicing.

General Duties:

  • Assist and Supervise designated staff in the development of a product strategy for each program within assigned disciplines of Health Sciences for all programs in the U.S. and Canada. Manage the development of new programs, revisions, course assets and support (e.g., tuition funding models, lab and equipment specifications, faculty requirements, textbooks, test banks, instructor tools, etc.) for designated staff.
  • Present curriculum revisions and new curriculum requests to the Curriculum Committee. Manage this process of curriculum development with the approval of the curriculum requests by the Committee. Report curriculum development and revision process updates to Committee.
  • Facilitate appropriate support to campuses in all phases of application, implementation and management of programs. Through staff resources, ensure training of school staff, assist in recruitment/orientation/ training/evaluation of faculty, ensure access to texts and other course assets, assure proper set up and use of labs and equipment to conform to program specifications, liaison with publishers and other vendors, etc.
  • Provide ongoing program support to campuses in the U.S. and Canada, on an as-needed basis, including resolving curriculum issues, lab/computer issues, scheduling questions, textbook requests, course changes, student complaints, regulatory compliance issues, assistance with marketing and sales issues, and other needs as they arise for programs in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Conduct periodic financial review, based on a standard (TBA) program profitability model, for assigned programs. Includes tracking number of online and on-ground students by program and location.
  • Assist the AVP, Curriculum & Instruction in the development of the department budget and ensure management and oversight of department resources in cost effective manner.
  • Facilitate partnership with individual Campuses and Regulatory Affairs to ensure efficient, timely and effective submission/review/approval of program applications.
  • Facilitate a partnership with Regulatory Affairs for the review of enrollment agreements, written responses to accreditation agencies, program related disclosures, and all other regulatory requirements related to approval, review and compliance of programs in assigned area(s).
  • Assess ongoing campus Advisory Board input and evaluation of all curriculum components for assigned campuses or programs. (Individual campuses recruit and maintain Advisory Boards).
  • Insure ongoing faculty input and evaluation of all curriculum components for programs in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Identify appropriate staff member as a content expert resource for accreditation visits and other management and community forums when necessary.
  • Attend conferences, conduct research, and hire and train faculty and other staff related to the curriculum administration function.
  • Stay abreast of and facilitate changes in instructional, market, and other critical dynamics impacting the growth and development of Health Science programs.
  • Advises and/or represents assigned campuses or programs on academic issues related to curriculum administration function.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with publishers and equipment vendors to ensure maximum service support and optimum pricing for assigned campuses or programs.
  • Assist Marketing with content information for promotional activities and materials that meet Accreditation guidelines.
  • Evaluate (annually or as needed) assigned staff in the Academic Affairs Health Sciences in the U.S. and Canada
  • Supervise assigned staff in the Academic Affairs Health Sciences in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Supervise assigned staff and assist with implementation of process, procedures, and training for placement of the clinical programs in Canada and clinical and externship sites in the U.S.
  • Develop a strategic plan for the fulfillment of future Health Science program needs through staffing and resource allocation considerations for the U.S. and Canada.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must possess a minimum of a master’s degree with a doctorate in education preferred with appropriate health science content knowledge.
  • Requires experience in classroom teaching.
  • Possess superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to plan, implement, and track at both the micro and macro levels.
  • Possess skills in appropriate technological applications.
  • Employ excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with both internal and external constituencies.
  • Possess superior managerial and leadership abilities.
